From a checkpoint entrance to a temporary work perimeter, a clearly defined boundary helps people understand where to go. The Guardsafe 42 LCD barricade by Remcon provides that visual separation in a reusable polyethylene design. Each unit measures 72 inches long, 42 inches high, and 24 inches wide, with connecting ends that bring individual barricades together into an organized line.

Applications include crowd management, traffic channelization, security checkpoints, and controlled-access areas. Water or sand ballast can be added on site, while integrated handling and drainage features support setup and removal.

Build a Boundary Around the Space You Have

Site boundaries do not always follow a straight line. The GS42 uses tongue-and-groove connections that accommodate angles of up to 15 degrees between neighboring barriers. Link units in a straight run or form a gradual curve around the area being managed.

On-Site Ballast with Accessible Fill and Drain Ports

A large threaded opening on top allows the barrier to be filled with water or sand. When using water ballast, capacity is up to 180 US gallons per unit. Two bottom drain plugs allow water to be released before the barricade is relocated.

The empty barrier weighs 130 pounds. Recessed, molded-in handles provide handholds for positioning, allowing the layout to be established before ballast is added.

Visibility Features Built into the Design

The Guardsafe 42 combines a bright exterior with provisions for additional visibility equipment. Two pockets molded into the top accept standard blinking lights, and the flat side surfaces accommodate reflective striping.
