Museum & Art Gallery Barriers

Barriers are typically used to queue and control visitors throughout a museum or institution. They can also surround items such as works of art to keep visitors from touching or getting too close. Rather than traditional rope and belt barriers, most museums prefer the more refined approach of a straight cord. "Q-Cord" museum barriers give a clean look that does not distract from the object being viewed.

These museum signs are one of the most discreet and versatile signage available for both museum and retail markets. The low profile anodized aluminum signage plates are the perfect complement for showcasing your exhibits with sleek simplicity. Use Q-Cord museum signs throughout your facility for a consistently clean look and feel.

Retractable barriers should adhere to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards. The belt or cord on a typical barrier is too high. According to the ADA, the cord or belt must be cane detectable and located within 27 inches off of the ground surface. Q-Cord Retractables already meet these ADA requirements.
